How to make make Organic Tamales:
- First mix thoroughly: 2/3 c. olive oil, 1 tsp. sea salt & 1 tsp. baking powder. Add 2 c. masa, a little at a time, then add 1/2 tsp. cayenne, 1 Tbs. oregano, 1 tsp. thyme. Add 1 1/2 c. warm water, mix well, adding more, a little at a time, until mixture resembles soft dough. Spread thinly on soaked/ softenened corn husks. Add filling (carrot, olive, peppers, etc.). Fold & steam for 1-2 hrs.
