Gold Mine Natural Food Company does everything it can to pack your orders well for safe arrival. Nevertheless, if you package is left outdoors below freezing, it is possible that Kelp Noodles will freeze and turn to mush. If you plan to order Kelp Noodles in cold weather, please have them shipped to an address where someone will be home to receive them.

These versatile noodles are ready to serve right from the package! Made only from sea kelp, they’re high in minerals and low in calories. Their unique texture is perfect in salad with thinly sliced vegetables and fresh herbs. Served hot in broth, they soften and absorb flavors well.

Now in a stand-up pouch. Just rinse and add to your favorite recipe.

Kelp Noodles in Savory Broth

Ingredients:
1 pkg. Gold Mine Kelp Noodles
3 c. water or vegetable broth
4-6 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1" fresh ginger, sliced
1" piece Ohsawa® Kombu seaweed
1 pkg. fresh tofu or seitan (wheat gluten)
1/2 c. red or green bell pepper, sliced
1/4 c. Ohsawa® Organic Nama® Shoyu (to taste) Or 2 T. Ohsawa® Organic Gluten-Free Tamari 1/4 c. fresh chopped basil 1/4 c. thinly sliced scallions Garnish Variations: Add cilantro, chilies, lime, greshly ground black pepper.

Bring water to boil and simmer noodles, mushrooms, garlic, ginger, and kombu for ten minutes. Add tofu, bell pepper and shoyu (to taste). Remove kombu and ginger slices; add basil. Serve in large bowls and garnish with scallions.

Variation for a thicker sauce: After removing kombu and ginger, stir into broth 1 T. Ohsawa® Organic Kuzu dissolved in 1/4 c cold water. Cook 2-3 min. until clear. Add garnishes and toasted sesame oil to taste.

Raw Kelp Noodles with Cheezy Sauce

Ingredients:
1 pkg. Gold Mine Kelp Noodles
2 c. cashews
3 T. chopped fresh basil
1.4 c. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
1 1/2 t. Celtic Sea Salt®
1/8 c. olive oil
3 t. Ohsawa® Organic Nama® Shoyu or 2 t. Ohsawa® Organic Gluten-Free Tamari
3 T. nutritional yeast
1/2 t. black pepper
1/2 - 3/4 c. water
1-2 cloves garlic (optional)
Veggies of your choice - shredded or chopped

Blend everything except kelp noodles in a food processor into a thick cream, slowly adding the water. Add more water if needed. Pour over noodles, stir and enjoy!

Awesome Kelp 10/17/2016
After cutting, rinsing and cooking them, I added a tomato sauce, seasoning, and baked it. It was delicious. I plan on buying more at the store and trying it with other sauces. Great for Vegans and people who avoid grains - Like me!

These noodles are awesome. My wife and I are dieting doing The Every Other Day Diet, 500-600 calories one day, anything you want the other day, and in need of comfort food on the 500 calorie diet day. We cooked up a pound of drained 85% free range ground beef crumbled with onion and garlic powder, 2 cups of low cal organic spaghetti sauce plus some of my wifes favorite spices and a bag each of kelp noodles. Only 24 calories for the whole bag! Grand total of 505 calories each, and what a luxurious and satisfying meal!!!!! Like eating a full bowl angel hair spaghetti. If the word gets out about these noodles Gold Mine will have build a new factory to keep up with the demand. I suggest you stock up before its too late.
